I’m a storyteller. That’s what I do. It’s what I’ve always done.
A co-founder, producer and writer for Chaos Complex Entertainment, Matthew Kennedy has worked professionally as an actor, writer, producer, director, and educator for the last 18 years both in his native Canada and internationally. Beginning his career on-stage at the renowned Dalhousie University Acting program, Matt has performed from coast-to-coast, eventually transitioning to work behind the camera. Along the way he applied his passion for theatre and education by teaching drama to a wide range of people, from at-risk and special needs youth in Canada to university students in Bangladesh. Matt is currently hard at work as a writer/story editor on several projects in development, including The Dark Ones, a supernatural feature film and Distrikt, a multi-platform series centered on the life-behind-the-nightlife of a downtown club. Matt, along with the Chaos team, earned several accolades at the 2011 and 2012 Telly Awards. He recently finished production writing and directing the pilot for Rezervations Not Required, a new cooking and lifestyle show devoted to exploring Native American culture and cuisine. In addition to all of that, Matt just began work on two new film projects, as well as several others with the Chaos Gang that they keep telling him he is not allowed to talk about. 29 hour day you say? He’s all in.
