Writer, Shooter, Loud Typer
It takes years of training and intense dedication to be a ninja. Instead, Adrian Taverner decided to be really ambitious and write for the screen in New York City. Ballsy.
Who the hell does he think he is? He doesn’t go to the right parties. He hasn’t been to LA since the trip to Disneyland when he was ten. Nevertheless…
After a near death experience (of boredom) at university, he was a very successful club dj, with a bit of bartending on the side. Even that couldn’t keep him interested, so he took his audio experience to the Vancouver film scene, working nights as an assistant sound editor on Da Vinci’s City Hall and various other projects. Still restless, but thoroughly charmed by the industry, he wrangled a gig working Locations, and befriended Matt Kennedy over lots of laughs. After a few months he jumped to the Grips department, and then Special Effects. One day, Lee Baran, a friend since the bartending days, called him up saying he needed a location sound guy. More laughs and a year later they were shooting in New York, and it’s been non-stop ever since.
It was the non-stop that had Adrian reconsidering his non-ninja career choices. Was this it? As fabulous as it was, was this all that was meant to be? Where was the story? The creativity? Where, for the love of all that’s holy, was the comedy?
Adrian, Lee, and Matt met in earnest, their very lives in the balance. They couldn’t stop laughing. Thus, Chaos Complex Entertainment. All comedy all the time. Mostly.
